Dr. Lindy Ledohowski

Dr. Lindy Ledohowski was a former English teacher and then English professor before becoming an EdTech startup founder and executive. Lindy is currently VP Operations at Wize, a full-suite EdTech offering for secondary and postsecondary students. In 2021 Wize acquired her company Essay Jack, an award-winning, patented software solution for academic writing.
She has won numerous awards for her teaching, research, and publications; served two terms on the Board of Trustees for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights; and is now an award-winning entrepreneur. Lindy is also an activator with SheEO, which supports women-led ventures. She has published both peer-reviewed scholarship and popular pieces on writing, literature, and culture, and offers talks on EdTech, leadership, and academic writing.
Her doctoral dissertation and a majority of her published scholarship focuses on Ukrainian Canadian identity. She was the recipient of the 2018 Kobzar Book Award for “Unbound: Ukrainian Canadian Writing Home”, and has presented papers at scholarly and community events about Ukrainian Canadian culture and identity.
Lindy joined the Shevchenko Foundation board of directors in 2021.
