The Temerty Foundation, with management support from the Shevchenko Foundation, has generously created the Temerty Covid-19 Relief Fund. Its purpose is to provide one-time special grant funding, in grants of up to $5,000, to organizations facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic. There is a total of $100,000 available for dispersal.

The objective of the Temerty Covid-19 Relief Fund is to help organizations maintain future administrative functionality to provide relevant programming to members and the community. Grant funding is to be used for partial payment of administrative and operational costs including:

  • rent (office, storage, etc.)
  • payment of wages
  • programming support

To meet organizational need in a timely manner, applications will be assessed by the Shevchenko Foundation on a monthly basis until dispersal of the Temerty Covid-19 Relief Fund is completed. Dispersal from the $100,000 fund to successful applicants will be allocated based on need, and where possible, in approximate equal portions from the Shevchenko Foundation pillars: Community Development, Arts, Heritage, and Education.
