Tania Willumsen

Tania (Murenko) Willumsen has over forty-five years experience as a senior executive and partner in institutional investment management. A past director of the Institute of Corporate Directors, she has been a frequent speaker on pension funds and corporate governance and is a past director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Investor Rights (FAIR).

She has 20 years experience as a corporate director and in the not-for-profit sector. Currently she chairs the Foundation at Mount Royal University and is past chair of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada Foundation.

She has served as chair, Bridgewater Bank, AMA Insurance Company and the various business units of the Alberta Motor Association and the Investment Committee of the Canada Council for the Arts, and Killam Trust Endowment Funds. Throughout her career she has served on numerous national and local non-for-profit organizations in the arts, children’s welfare and healthcare.

In 2023 she was recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 7 Over 70 for her public service.

She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba.
