What is the Shevchenko Foundation?
The Shevchenko Foundation, or TSF, is a national charitable organization that sustains Ukrainian Canadian cultural heritage by building community, fueling creativity, and inspiring philanthropy.
How does TSF fulfill its mission?
TSF pools and permanently invests gifts from generous donors. The income earned is reinvested into grants, scholarships, and community programs that promote and celebrate Ukrainian culture.
Did you know…
Since its founding over 60 years ago by a small group of community visionaries, TSF has re-invested over $14 million back into the Ukrainian community in Canada.
The Need
We’re very proud of the projects and initiatives we have been able to support over 60 years. They have all made their contribution to the Canadian cultural landscape. But imagine the possibilities of amplifying this contribution!
There is a keen interest among Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians alike to learn more about what it is to be Ukrainian. Together, we can:
- inspire more artists to create
- help artists flourish in the Canadian mainstream
