How can I donate to the Shevchenko Foundation?

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) personal cheques, gifts of securities, wire transfer, and e-transfer.
Is my online donation secure?
Yes, we take the security of your online donation seriously. Our website uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your information.
How do I set up a monthly donation?
You can call the office or set up a monthly donation on our website. Your donation will automatically be deducted electronically from your bank account or through your credit card.
Whom do I contact to change my monthly donation?

To update your payment details or cancel your monthly gift, call 204-944-9128 or toll-free 1-866-524-5314 or admin@shevchenkofoundation.ca.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, we provide a receipt for all donations, which can be used for tax purposes. Be sure to provide accurate contact information during the donation process.

What if I don’t receive my receipt, lose my receipt, or if there is an error on it?

If, for some reason, you don’t receive a tax receipt, you’ve misplaced a receipt, or you receive an incorrect tax receipt, you can contact us either via email at admin@shevchenkofoundation.ca, or give us a call at 204-944-9128 or toll-free 1-866-524-5314.

Can I donate in honor or memory of someone?

Yes, you can donate in honor or memory of a loved one online, by telephone, or by mail.  Notify us of your donation and your gift will be acknowledged to the individual(s) informing them of your thoughtfulness.

Can I leave a gift in my will to the Shevchenko Foundation?

Should I notify the Shevchenko Foundation that I’ve left a gift in my will?
Yes. Not only would we like to thank you, but we want to ensure that your gift is properly recognized and invite you to be inducted into the Kobzar Fellowship. We can also provide the right wording, particularly if you are designating your gift to a specific area.  We understand that creating a gift in your will is one of the most personally significant gifts you can make, and we will respect your wishes concerning how much recognition or anonymity you would like.

What are my rights as a donor?

The Shevchenko Foundation has adopted A Donor Bill of Rights that was developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, in collaboration with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits.

Will you share my contact information with any other organizations?
