The Shevchenko Foundation invites Ukrainian Canadian visual artists to submit an original work of art depicting a Ukrainian Christmas theme for our 2016 Christmas Card Campaign.
Deadline for submissions is midnight October 1, 2016.
Submission Guidelines:
- Original images may be colour drawings or paintings depicting a Ukrainian Christmas or winter theme.
- A maximum of 3 images may be submitted by any individual artist.
- The image dimensions must be easily reproduced into a 5” x 7” card.
- The submission must be in the form high resolution jpeg of the proposed image, and must be accompanied by the title of the work, type of medium and a short CV of the artist.

The artist whose work is selected will receive an honorarium of $1,000. The Shevchenko Foundation will assume and retain ownership and copyright of the selected art image, and the original artwork will be delivered to the Shevchenko Foundation office.
Over 12,000 cards will be distributed across Canada during the 2016 Christmas season. Although the Christmas Card Campaign is primarily a fundraising appeal, it is also a unique venue through which to expose the talent of Ukrainian artists in Canada to a large and widespread audience.
