We regret to inform you that the offices of the Shevchenko Foundation were broken into on Saturday, October 28. The discovery was made on the morning of Monday, October 30, and the police have been informed.
Among the stolen items were recently delivered donations that had been mailed to the Foundation including cheques and donor reply cards with personal credit card information.
Safeguarding the trust and the confidentiality of your information is of paramount importance to us. We want to assure you that we are working diligently to address this issue and enhance our security measures to prevent any such incidents in the future.
If you have mailed a donation to the Shevchenko Foundation any time in the last two weeks, we ask that you please contact the TSF office using our toll-free number (1-866-524-5314) to determine whether there has been a breach of your personal information.
We also encourage you to check your bank and credit card accounts for any unusual activity since the theft occurred on October 28.
Please note: this does not affect donors who have made online donations. There has been no breach of online data.
