Special Programs
Assessed monthly until further notice

The Shevchenko Foundation is pleased to announce the first of its new funding programs to assist the Ukrainian Canadian community in welcoming newcomers to Canada. Specifically, our goal is to make cultural and educational opportunities more accessible for displaced Ukrainian children and youth.

As Canadians open their hearts and homes to Ukrainians fleeing the war in Ukraine, we believe it is critical for young Ukrainians to feel the support and comfort of our community as they try to adapt to a new home, friends, and way of being.

Ukrainian charitable and not-for-profit organizations can now apply for special immediate grant funding to help offset costs associated with including displaced youth in summer recreational or arts programs and camps.

Investing in our youth

The seed funding for this program has been made possible with proceeds from the Tryzub Awards Gala. The program will include at least two additional programs to be launched in the coming months that will support the participation of displaced youth in recreational heritage arts programs and professional arts education programs.

TSF proudly supports many programs and initiatives across Canada organized by dedicated volunteers with the goal of keeping our youth engaged with their cultural heritage in a celebration of their Ukrainian identity.

Consider a donation today in support of TSF funding for youth programming. With your partnership, we can open the door to a world of opportunities in our community and beyond!

 Additional funding for summer programs…

Please note, that funding to assist with sponsoring the participation in summer programs of displaced Ukrainian children is also available through a support program launched by the UCC-CUF Humanitarian Appeal. Organizations wishing to offer this program to participants are invited to submit an application at this link: https://www.cufoundation.ca/apply-for-funding/

TSF thanks all community organizations and generous donors that are contributing to this compassionate cause!
