On September 30 we, Canadians, come together to mark Truth and Reconciliation Day.
The Shevchenko Foundation recognizes the enduring effects of residential schools in Canada and we honour the Survivors, their families and communities. As we all have a role in the healing process, may this be an opportunity to learn from history and recognize our responsibility to honour and respect our Indigenous community.
We vow to continue making spaces for healing and reconciliation as we work toward a common goal to live in peace, harmony, and compassion.
